Well summer is winding down, we had a beautiful full moon this morning, hope that brings good things today!
This time last year I was on the brink of launching my business and wondering what roads it would take me to. My business has taken on a life of it’s own directed by myself and a wonderful group of advisors.
The principles of the company apply to all businesses. Harvard Business teaches that 40% of your marketing budget should be spent on repeat and referral marketing. The customers we already have are our best source of future business.
I have the great pleasure of working with amazing customers, helping with leveraging their time so that their efforts are seamless for repeat & referral marketing. We have a customers that we work as their inside sales force to create repeat & referral Marketing. We do full company assessments as it is a 6 step program to success.
Networking has been a key role in the success of the business in fact I believe in it so strongly that I started my own organization www.professionalconnections.ca . I am a proud member of the Chamber of Commerce, E women’s Network (on the leadership team), and the Capital City Executives Association.
The business was launched in Vancouver in August and we look forward to growth there as well as in Victoria.
We have moved from a home office, to a single office to an office with a reception area, two private offices and a board room.
I look for opportunities whenever I can to present my Presentation on Repeat & Referral Martketing Strategies, which I will be presenting to Business Victoria tomorrow night.
I am truly grateful and thankful for all of the wonderful associations and alliance that have been made, the success is due to the loyalty of the customers.
With more to follow,,,,,,, and wising you a wonderful end of August, dog days of summer!
Cheers,
Professional Connections is a new networking oganization that can boost your referral and boost your committment to the charities in your community.
We have started this organization in Victoria, for Professionals and small business owners. We look for leaders and decision makers in our membership.
We have one professional from each category in each group, we refer to one another as we get to know each other and our best business practices. We have meaningful round table discussions about our businesses.
We hear from a different charity 3 meetings in a row (every second week) and then on the fourth meeting we rest to discuss how we can help the charities we’ve heard from.
Groups are to a maximum of 12 members so that you truly get to know each other.
We have a brand new website @ www.professionalconnections.ca for more information.
If you would like to start a chapter of Professional Connections in your city. Call me and ask me how!
cheers,
Debbie
It’s a beautiful sunny amazing day here in Victoria. This week we are talking a lot about tracking referrals. One of the questions you may want to ask yourself is how does your business keep track of referrals. When I started mine I had a hard time finding software that would do that so I had the software developer devise a system that tracks referrals, prints reports so you can reward referrals. Are you rewarding referrals in your business? It’s wonderful when you can track referrals like a family tree to see what happens and also to see where the business is coming from.
For instance I joined E women’s network and was asked to be on the Leadership team by Director Kerry Brown www.successbizcoach.com, Kerry has helped connect me to join Captial City Executive Association which has lead to more connections, she knew I was expanding to Vancouver so she connected me with Pamela Chatry www.pamelachatry.com who invited me to come to Vancouver to Launch the business there to 30 successful business women on a beautiful Regent Navigator cruise ship on Wednesday this week.
So this is an example of how one connection can turn into many referrals and lead back to that one person. We all make such a difference, it’s worth tracking and worth rewarding.
My thanks to Kerry and Pamela.
If you are not tracking referrals, call me, I’d love to help.
Have an excellent weekend.
The Stats always show us where things are at. This is a different market than what Victoria has seen for some time. As a Realtor you can set yourself apart from the rest with proven repeat and referral marketing strategies. You can help your clients set their homes apart as well. There has never been a better time for Realtors to set themselves apart from the rest.

Property sales throughout the Greater Victoria area in July returned to the kind of normal level seen in the late 1990s while overall prices declined slightly compared to June. A total of 527 homes and other properties sold in July through the Victoria Real Estate Board’s Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®), down from the 625 sales in June. There were 933 sales in July of last year.
Victoria Real Estate Board President, Randi Masters, noted that in the summer months a decade ago there were typically between 450 and 550 sales each month. “Last month’s sales reflect a return to these historically average levels compared to the significantly higher levels seen between 2001 and 2007 when we had a very active market.” Masters added that sales activity is expected to pick up again next year as we return to a more balanced market over the coming months.
The number of properties available for sale last month declined to 4,477 but this was still 23 per cent higher compared to the 3,632 available properties in July of last year.
Masters noted that the steadily rising number of properties available for sale in recent months offers buyers a wide choice from which to choose. “Buyers are in less of a hurry given the higher number of properties available for sale and it’s important for sellers to consult with their REALTOR® in order to price their home realistically in order to attract qualified buyers,” she added.
The average price for single-family homes sold in Greater Victoria last month was $615,004 down from $649,280 in June. The median price showed little change at $560,000. The six-month average declined slightly to $632,283. There were 16 sales of over $1 million including one on the Gulf Islands. The overall average price for condominiums was $322,905 last month, down from $331,131 in June. The average for the last six months was $326,592. The median price for condominiums in July declined slightly to $289,900. The average price of all townhomes sold last month was $420,578 down from $429,549 in June. The median price declined to $388,000. The six month average was $444,228.
MLS® sales last month included 299 single family homes, 136 condominiums, 44 townhomes and 18 manufactured homes.

"The gross of the practice more than doubled in the six years Debbie was in charge... She was able to achieve this through effective marketing to potential referral sources... Having Debbie in charge of systems and protocols... allowed me to do what I do best and that is the performance of treatment on patients. I had very little to do in the way of administration or marketing of the practice. "
